Stand-up paddlesurf is the oldest form of surfing and the lastest craze to hit our shores. Paddles are used to propel the board on flat water as well as to turn and control the board when riding waves. This week we are taking advantage of the flat, still waters and running sunset SUP lessons with the Extreme Academy.
Join us at the Extreme Academy at 7pm each evening this week to have a go at SUP, discover hidden gems around the North coast of Cornwall and take in some great sunsets at the same time.
The sessions are two hours long and cost £30.00 per person. Extreme Academy will provide all the kit including boards, paddles, wetsuits and rash vests, all you need to do is turn up and SUP.
Available for those aged 18+.
To book call 01637 860840.
If you want to watch some real pro’s take to the waves, the fifth BSUP World Championships will be coming to Watergate Bay on 4/5/6 October.
Did you know: Stand up paddling began to be popular in the 1960s when surfing instructors used the technique to position themselves for taking photographs.
SUP is the perfect core work out. Let us know ho you get on.
