Festivals in Cornwall 2014

Cornwall boasts an excellent line up of festivals throughout 2014 including Boardmasters, Cornwall Food and Drink Festival and Electric Beach Festival. Which are you going to this year?

Festivals

O’Neill presents Electric Beach Festival
7/8 June

Now in it’s third year, Electric Beach Festival returns to Watergate Bay with two days of great music on the beach with headlining acts from Grandmaster Flash and Zion Train.

Fowey Mussel Festival
21/22 June

A packed weekend programme of live music, cookery demonstrations, boat trips, pirate sea shanties, sword fighting and plenty of Fowey River mussels and oysters. Just come along and enjoy the fun, eat al fresco, see all that Fowey has to offer

Looe Festival of Food and Drink
28/29 June

The Looe Festival of Food and Drink returns in 2014 showcasing local produce and local suppliers, allowing visitors to the area to enjoy and sample a true taste of Cornwall.

Rock Oyster Festival
12 July

Held on the banks of the Camel Estuary in North Cornwall, Rock Oyster Festival attracts more than 5000 people who come for the unique blend of food, music and arts. It is a proper family festival with plenty of entertainment for both adults and children.

Boardmasters Festival
6/7/8/9/10 August

Newquay welcomes back the most famous festival in Cornwall, Boardmasters. Returning to the shores of Fistral are the surf, skate and BMX competitions. Whilst the cliffs of Watergate Bay will be alive with the sound of Snoop Dogg, Bastille, Chase & Status and more! Buy your tickets online.

Cornwall Food and Drink Festival
26/17/18 September

Quite simply the largest event anywhere dedicated to Cornish food and drink, it’s a firm favourite with tens of thousands of people and this year will be better than ever. See the centre of Truro transformed for three days of non-stop eating, drinking, trying and buying.

The Little Apple and Cider and Music Festival
12/13/14 September

After a huge demand, the Little Apple Festival is back for 2014 – you can expect big colourful marquees like the Golden Delicious acoustic cafe, The Big Little Apple Top, Granny Smith’s Dance Emporium and a new feature for 2014 – The Pink Lady Burlesque tent.

Looe Music Festival 
19/20/21 September

With two headliners yet to be announced the anticipation is already building for Looe Music Festival. Acts already confirmed include the Red Hot Chilli Pipers, Cosmo Jarvis, The Lambrettas, Adam Isacc and The Brand New Heavies.

Falmouth Oyster Festival 
9/10/11/12 October

Each year, a cookery master-class from a celebrity chef, followed by a book signing opens the festival. Packed with cookery demonstrations by leading local chefs, oysters, seafood, wine and local ale.

Padstow Christmas Festival
4/5/6/7 December

From humble beginnings Padstow Christmas festival has grown significantly and is now a firm fixture in the festive calendar, last year attracting a record 30,000 visitors. Set around Padstow’s picturesque harbour, the festival brings locals and visitors together in a celebration of food, music and entertainment.
