SPONSORED RIDERS

At Watergate Bay, we’re surrounded by talented young surfers and kitesurfers. These are people who live for their sport; people who can teach us all a thing or two about commitment, motivation and sheer hard work.

The Hotel & Extreme Academy sponsors two such watermen, Harry Timson, a local surfer who took his first wave at the age of three and hasn’t looked back, and Josh Coombes, our resident surf and kitesurf instructor and a natural all-round sportsman with far more than his fair share of kitesurfing talent.

Both love to be in the waves at Watergate Bay, and both are making names for themselves in competitions throughout the UK and beyond. We’re proud to play a small part in helping them to grow and succeed in their chosen sports.
