Autumn events in The Beach Hut
Barbecues, bonfires and a beach-side vibe, that’s what autumn evenings at The Beach Hut are all about. We’re bringing back ‘The Beach Hut barbecue night’ and we’re inviting you to be part of the revival.
Executive Chef, Neil Haydock has created a collection of barbecue nights which will feature the best of our fireside menus. There’ll be a bonfire on the beach, a barbecue on the deck, hay bale seating, live music and great food. Take your pick from the barbecues below or join us for them all.
Friday 14 November – Welcoming the winter barbecue
To celebrate our winter opening and the full moon, we’ll be cooking up food which will make you feel warm inside. A bonfire on the beach will get the evening off with a bang and the barbecue will feature some ‘cowboy style’ cooking.
There will be a South American theme: grilled meats, vegetables and lesser known cuts slowly cooked, pulled belly pork and BBQ sauce, five spice honey chicken, grilled leg of lamb with flat bread and mint raita. Baked potatoes will be in the fire and cowboy beans will be served with Asian slaw and corn fritters. To drink expect Hennessey brandy and big, bold reds.
Expect sparklers, American music and line dancing, don’t forget your cowboy hats!
7pm – £30 per person
Food and entertainment inclusive
December – Christmas party nights
On Fridays and Saturdays throughout December The Beach Hut will be welcoming Christmas parties big and small.
You can expect mulled wine, a beach bonfire and an evening acoustic set and DJ. Come and join our party!
Our party nights will be on 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, December.
Friday 19 September – Lobster Friday
September is almost at the end of the lobster season and this year we’re going to send it off with a bang. An all-lobster dinner date, your chance to work your way through a whole lobster. There will be lobster everywhere, except dessert, of course.
The four course menu will start with lobster ceviche with mango, coriander and avocado, move onto lobster and tarragon linguinie, followed by half a grilled lobster with herb butter and fries. And then top it all off with The Beach Hut Eton mess. It will be banquette seating and there will be plenty of summer cocktails, white wine and lobster’s favourite, Champagne.
An arrival drink of Pongracz Brut, a sparkling white wine from South Africa, is included, and an additional wine flight matched to each lobster course is available at £10 per person.
Friday 17 October – Say goodbye to summer barbecue
Wave goodbye to the last of the evening summer sun with a cocktail in hand and a sunshine themed barbecue.
The Beach Hut burger will be the star of the show, with fat sarnies, pickles, slow cooked smoked brisket and our favourite pulled pork. Grilled flat breads will be loaded with spiced lamb koftas, along with halloumi, jewelled cous cous and Beach Hut slaw.
Cocktails and crisp white wine will stir up the conversation and the music will get you dancing.
