This November, Executive Chef, Neil Haydock is throwing in something a little different. He’s created five themed events for foodies including cooking demonstrations, bonfires on the beach and live music. Take your pick from the list below or join us for them all.

Thursday 28 November
Thanksgiving feasting

We’ll be looking across the Atlantic for a Thanksgiving feast that sees no need to mess with tradition. Turkey and pumpkin pie, Cornish potatoes and apple cider, of these things will you be thankful for.

Bookings from 6pm – 9pm

Christmas party nights

On Fridays and Saturdays throughout December The Beach Hut will be welcoming Christmas parties.

Our party nights will be on 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21 December.

Here are some of the other Beach Hut events we ran this autumn;

Thursday 26 September
Something fishy’s going on!

Neil likes to keep it local, sourcing all The Beach Hut’s fish, scallops, lobster, meat, fruit and veg from suppliers in Cornwall. This evening, he’ll be celebrating Cornish artisan producers as part of the Cornwall Food and Drink Festival and their #choosecornish campaign, inviting you to share the love with demonstrations, long tables and sharing platters. The feast will be fishy, expect scallops in their shells and seafood stew, whilst Neil takes you through how to prepare and cook quick and easy fish suppers.

7pm – 3 courses for £25 per person

Saturday 12 October
The Beach Hut brunch

Bed into The Beach Hut for brunch, with a tasting demo from Origin coffee. There’ll be lots of butter and chunky marmalade, we’ll be laying it on thick, with our usual breakfast menu being served alongside board specials, look out for crab Benedict and French toast. Come for chatter, a hearty breakfast and cups of good coffee.

Friday 8 November
Welcoming the winter

To celebrate The Beach Hut’s winter opening, we’ll be cooking up food which will make you feel warm inside. A bonfire on the beach will get the evening off with a bang, we’ll have the barbecue on the deck for some outdoor cooking and they’ll be acoustic, live music in the bar. Our specials board will feature some wintery sharing platters alongside jackets roasted in the fire, marshmallows and parkin.

Thursday 21 November
Beaujolais at the beach

The Beach Hut has joined the race to get the first bottles of Beaujolais nouveau. This flamboyant French red is released on the third Thursday of November, and not before, so we’ll be celebrating this tradition will plenty of Beaujolais wine and a typical French feast. There will be banqueting tables, French onion soup, beef bourguignon and tarte fine aux pommes. Don’t forget your berets!

7pm – 3 courses for £25 per person
Introduction talk on Beaujolais nouveau at 7:30pm
