The Kids’ Zone provides a fun environment for meeting new friends and having a great time.
It is open from 8am until 10pm everyday and has a play room and an art room with indoor toys, themed activities, games and children’s books. There is also a cosy and comfortable ‘quiet’ area for reading during the day and for films and stories during the evening supervision session. Adjacent to our Kids Zone is our outdoor play area, designed for us by Earth Wrights, which incorporates areas for climbing, balancing, hiding and exploring. There is also plenty of space to play with bikes and outdoor toys. Depending on the time of day the Kids Zone will be supervised or unsupervised.
Next to the Kids Zone there is a spacious games room for older children which is also open every day and is home to the XA Club.
Activities and entertainment
During school holidays younger children can enjoy activities such as sandcastle building, rock pooling, den building, costume making and treasure hunts, finger painting and lots other of different arts and crafts. We try to take advantage of our beach location as much as possible and each week has a different theme, from sea life to circus and wild west to sweet shops. We also like to encourage free play.
We often have visiting entertainers for family entertainment; this includes cookery sessions, graffiti art, music, film making or even circus skills. These sessions take place a couple of evenings each week during school holidays between 5:30pm – 6:30pm. Parents do need to supervise their children during these sessions.
Each evening there is a supervision session between 6.30pm and 10pm during which children play games and wind down with a ‘U’ classified film.
During school holidays the Kids Zone also runs supervised sessions between 10am and 12 noon.
Activities will vary according to weather conditions and availability.
