Kids’ Zone

The Kids’ Zone provides a fun environment for meeting new friends and having a great time.Open from 8am until 10pm everyday it has a play room and an art room with indoor toys, themed activities, games and children’s books.

There is a craft room stocked full with arts, crafts and activities, a playroom with a small soft play area, a large selection of toys, there is also a cosy and comfortable ‘quiet’ area for reading during the day and for films and stories during the evening supervision session. For ‘tiny tots’ there’s a selection of treasure baskets, sensory play and an interactive story area where you can help bring puppets and storytelling alive.

Adjacent to our Kids’ Zone is our outdoor play area, designed for us by Earth Wrights, which incorporates areas for climbing, balancing, hiding and exploring. There is also plenty of space to play with bikes and outdoor toys.

Depending on the time of day the Kids’ Zone will be supervised or unsupervised.

Activities and entertainment

During school holidays younger children can enjoy activities like sandcastle building, rock pooling, den building, costume making, treasure hunts, finger painting and lots of other different arts and crafts. We try to take advantage of our beach location as much as possible including activities like tug-o-war, flour bomb dodge ball, football tournaments, and drinking hot chocolate around a fire pit, weather and tide permitting.

Each week we have different theme, from sea life to circus and wild west to sweet shops. We also like to encourage free play.

Family entertainment

We often have visiting entertainers for family entertainment; this includes cookery sessions, graffiti art, music, film making or even circus skills. These sessions take place a couple of evenings each week during school holidays. Children need to be supervised by their parents during these sessions.
