SURF RELIEF FESTIVAL

Saturday 18th July 2009

Taking place at the peak of summer on one of Cornwall’s most stunning beaches, the Surf Relief Festival is an unmissable day out.

It’s the UK’s only live music and surfing festival to be held right on the beach - combining top-level surfing and surf lifesaving contests; a packed schedule of family activities; and ending with live music as the sun goes down.

And best of all, it’s completely free to attend.

Surf Relief UK was set up to help coordinate the UK surfing community’s response to the Asian tsunami of Boxing Day 2004. Having experienced the generosity of the surfing community, organisers realised that there was potential to raise further funds for other projects by acting as the UK’s surfing charity.

This year’s Surf Relief Festival will raise money for the charity’s SurfAble project which introduces youngsters with disabilities to surfing - an experience which for many proves to be life-changing.
