Beach Hut bircher recipe

Dutch pancakes, potato buns, warm cinnamon rolls. Breakfast is served right on the beach from 9am in The Beach Hut, and when staying the night with us, in Zacry's from 7:30am.

A firm favourite is our homemade bircher with fruit compote and toasted seeds. We can bring the bircher recipe to you, but we can't bring the beach.

Ingredients

  • 1 handful of oats 
  • 1 small glass of cloudy apple juice
  • 2 tablespoons of coconut yoghurt
  • Your favourite fruit coulis/compote
  • A sprinkling of toasted sunflower and pumpkin seeds

 

Total prep/cook time: overnight to soak, 5 mins to prepare

Method

  1. Take a handful of rolled oats in a bowl and pour the cloudy apple juice over to just cover the oats.
  2. Soak overnight in the fridge
  3. Fold coconut yoghurt through the oats, enough to make it creamy.
  4. Top with your favourite seasonal fruit coulis/compote.
  5. Finish with toasted sunflower and pumpkin seeds, scattered on top.
