We’re super lucky that one of Cornwall’s biggest surf and music festivals happens just up the cliff-path from us here at Watergate Bay. ‘Boardmasters’ is back across Newquay from 5- 9 August 2015. Last year saw Snoop Dog take to the stage.
Newquay is the only place to be from the 5-9 August, with Boardmasters back in town for another full festival programme of beach-side living.
From taking in some of the biggest bands and DJ overlooking Watergate Bay, to the World Surf League Pros battling it out in Fistral’s punchy waves, whatever you want to do, you’ll find something to suit your boarding style.
Farmer Pete has served up a prime spot of land at Watergate Bay for three full days of live music, rides, food stalls, bars and barrel-loads more. This year there are seven different stages and areas to choose from, all overlooking the beach and arguably one of the best sunset spots around. Big artists on our list to see are Faithless (“I can’t get no sleep”), Rudimental, Bastille, Clean Bandit but be sure not to miss the lesser-known Nick Mulvey and Everything Everything.
If it all gets too much remember Watergate Bay is just down the path – for a dip, surf, refreshment or a place to take five.
