Sunday brunch is our favourite meal of the day because it combines long lazy mornings with all of our favourite dishes. At brunch, anything goes.
Starting at 10am and running through to 4pm every Sunday, brunch is an endless possibility of dishes and drinks. We couldn’t choose, so here’s our roundup of the best brunch dishes from The Beach Hut. Book your table for brunch online.
Fried fish burrito
The Beach Hut
Sometimes, the simple things are the best. And you can’t beat this Mexican take on the classic fish finger sandwich. Making and frying your own fish fries, or fingers, is really easy. If you’re really hungry or fancy this dish for dinner, serve or stuff the tortilla with Mexican rice for extra substance – long-grain rice cooked with onions, garlic, pepper and tomatoes.
Malted lemon pancakes
The Beach Hut
An indulgent pancake that’s too good to leave for Shrove Tuesday alone. At The Beach Hut, we add a spoon of Ovaltine to the flour mix to give the pancakes a malted flavour. It all makes for one of the most popular dishes on our brunch menu. Make them at home with our recipe.
Red berry and oat smoothie
The Beach hut
Not just for brunch, but a natural pick me up too. This smoothie is healthier alternative to some other breakfasts you might make, plus the oats make it a thicker, more filling option, with added fibre and protein. Here’s the recipe.
Eggs portabello
The Beach Hut
We like our eggs in lots of different ways, but always with hollandaise sauce. There are many alternatives to eggs Benedict, so if mushrooms aren’t your thing, try thick-cut ham, smoked salmon, black pudding, avocado, roasted tomatoes… the list is endless. Start with our recipe as a base and experiment.
Moules marinieres
The Beach Hut
Moules marinieres is a beach-side classic – and easy to recreate at home. We serve them French style with white wine and garlic at The Beach Hut, but we like to experiment with other flavours too, like our Sri Lankan mussels on the menu at the moment.
Brunch at The Beach Hut is served from 10am to 4pm every Sunday.
Food is served at the Living Space from 11:30am to 10pm.
All those dishes look fantastic, I’m really craving those pancakes now! Do you serve these dishes everyday or just on a sunday???
Hi Mandi, the pancakes are really naughty. All of these dishes are served as part of our special brunch menu, every Sunday from 10am-4pm, with exception of the smoothie which is a special. Please note that our the last brunch at The Beach Hut will be on Sunday 22 March. The moules marinieres is available every day of the week. I hope this helps.
