‘Four screens, three days and one fabulous party!’
Taking place in the new state of the art Lighthouse Cinema in Newquay, Cornwall Film Festival remains a unique event in UK filmmaking and exhibition. It’s the only film festival of its kind that nurtures professional development of students and established filmmakers in Cornwall.
Over the course of three days both locally and internationally made films will be shown including works from feature, documentary and sport genres. Q&A sessions are also going to be running alongside the previews so if you are a budding film maker you can interview the people involved to get first-hand insight.
How can you take part?
You can get involved in a number of workshops that will run throughout the four day festival. Workshop sessions will focus on stop-frame animation, drama college auditions, casting and screenwriting for female characters with talented guest speakers taking part.
Feature films such as ‘The Selfish Giant’, ‘Prince Avalanche’ and ‘Don Jon’ will be previewed alongside documentaries like ‘Low Down and Derby’ and ‘Art of Motion’. The full programme of films can be found here.
So sit back, enjoy and don’t forget the popcorn!
