A full programme of events takes place across the Duchy every year. We've listed out some of our favourites for 2022, so grab your pencil and mark up that calendar.
We Will Rock You, the worldwide smash hit by Queen and Elton John returns to the UK and to Cornwall. The musical is coming to the brand new Hall for Cornwall from 21 - 26 February, but there's a full lineup of national productions taking place throughout the year.
Created and hosted by the Eden Project, the tenth anniversary of the World Pasty Championships takes place on 5 March 2022 with a celebration of homegrown musical and comedy talent.
Chef's theatres, food stalls, street food, live music and free family entertainment. Porthleven is an award-winning food festival, a community-led event taking place around the picturesque Cornish harbour.
Cornwall has a wealth of talented artists, often working behind the scenes in their own studios, from printmaking, painting, sculpting and jewellery making. Over the May Bank Holiday weekend, 28 May until 5 June, create your own bespoke art trail with the open studios, meet the creators and explore their spaces.
Over the 9, 10, 11 June 2022, Cornwall's top agricultural show and the county's biggest annual event, packed with exhibits, activities, entertainment, competitions and shopping takes place.
Between 17 - 19 June watch three days of racing for Falmouth Classics, one of the largest parades of classic sailing boats. On shore the entertainment and food stalls will be showcasing the very best for the Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival.
Dinham House plays host to headline acts from 29 - 31 July such as Laura Mvula, Happy Mondays and Passenger. Expect open fire cooking, family and wellness activities, yoga, circus skills and paddleboarding.
10 - 14 August, the famous Boardmasters festival returns. A five day event of surfing competitions at Fistral beach, wellness and live music across a series of stages on the cliffs above Watergate Bay.
A two-week celebration of music and arts for St Ives' September Festival, 10 - 24 September.
Falmouth Oyster Festival takes place 13 - 16 October, celebrating the return of the oyster season with freshly prepared seafood, music, arts and entertainment.
