Travel blogger and Instagrammer Lauren from NY to Anywhere is always on the look out for the perfect Instagram opportunity. She headed to Watergate Bay to find the most Instagrammable spots on the north coast of Cornwall.
I would have to guess their lunch, favourite views and photos of them themselves. If you’re a millennial, then chances are your Instagram is important to you. Many of us are now choosing a holiday based on how Instagrammable it is. If this sounds like you, then Watergate Bay Hotel could be your next holiday. No need to go to some far-flung destination, all the ingredients to get major likes are on the nearby coast of Cornwall!
Take your pick at any of their three seaside restaurants (and Fifteen Cornwall next door), not only are the views amazing but they have the menu to match. I couldn’t get over the gorgeous colours of the fish dishes at the Beach Hut. I could eat here every day. Food heaven continues at breakfast with pops of colour against a beautiful black and white marble floor. And the #waffles.
At almost every possible opportunity you will come across a glimpse of the sea. From the rooms to the restaurants to the pool, a picture-perfect scene is asking to be photographed.
Sunrise, sunset and everything in between is fine by me from the pool which overlooks the bay. As well as the sea view hot tub and sauna.
Surfing, yoga, music and spa days are some of the many activities on your doorstep. I’ve been meaning to learn to surf for about four years now I couldn’t pass up the chance with the Extreme Academy. Of course, I had to get a picture so that my friends would believe me. I was surprised that I didn’t want to get out of the water (even in March) and I used some muscles I didn’t know I had. Luckily, I had a massaged booked in Swim Club that afternoon to ease the pain and send me into seaside bliss.
Watergate Bay Hotel has all of the traits I look for in a holiday. An invigorating, relaxing and luxurious experience all wrapped into one. Oh, and its definitely Insta-worthy!
