Our palates and tastes are constantly evolving at Watergate Bay. And we just love trying new wines when we get the chance. We join Living Space manager Andrea who takes us on a tour of the restaurant’s new wines, available by the glass or bottle.
Romania isn’t the first country that springs to mind when thinking of trying a new bottle of wine, but perhaps it should be. It’s one of three new bottles of wine on The Living Space’s special board and featuring on our wine list very soon.
Paparuda Pinot Grigio from Romania
“Lovely with one of our Caesar salads – or equally enjoyed on its own!”
Paparuda is a well-made everyday drinking Pinot Grigio and something different to your usual entry level Italian option. It is clean on the palate with refreshing citrus and honeyed fruit notes.
Yealand’s Pinot Gris from New Zealand
“A match with food that has lots of flavor or Asian influences – our fish curry for example. A glass with our Portabello mushroom chips would be very nice too.”
A lusciously rich, aromatic and spicy off-dry Pinot Gris with concentrated notes of ripe pear, melon and subtle hints of ginger. This wine is delicious and is extremely food friendly.
Paparuda Pinot Noir from Romania
“Pair it with our Lamb Tagine special, Watergate Ruben or any meaty white fish dishes.”
Light and fragrant with notes of red cherry and redcurrant fruit, the Paparuda Pinot Noir has great freshness with hints of spice – it’s extremely moreish. For a slightly more refreshing finish, chill it in the fridge for five minutes.
