Padstow Christmas Festival 2014

The award-winning Padstow Christmas Festival is back for 2014 between 4-7 December – and it’s bigger and better than ever before. With last minute booking available at Watergate Bay Hotel, here’s what you could be enjoying very soon…

Now in its seventh year, Padstow Christmas Festival – this year held between Thursday 4 and Sunday 7 December – is one of the UK’s largest festive treats, bringing together chefs, local food producers and crafts-folk to celebrate Christmas. Padstow at it’s very best, if you will.

Drawing on its culinary fame, Padstow harbour will host two cooking demonstration theatres packed with some of the country’s finest chefs. Our executive chef Neil Haydock will be joining the likes of Rick Stein, Michael Caines, Phil Vickery and Nathan Outlaw to name just a few. Put your questions to the chefs or pick up a tip or two from other local chefs using the county’s finest produce.

Joining them will be 100 local producers – from pies and paintings and jewellery and jams. Ales and ciders, and plenty of mulled wine, will also be flowing.

Other highlights of the Festival include the arrival of Santa on his horse-drawn Victorian bus, fireworks, live music, carol singing and latern parade. Or, if you’re feeling more energetic, get your Santa suit on join hundreds of others for Santa’s Fun Run in aid of Cornwall Hospice Care.

If you fancy seeing Padstow in all of its glory, don’t forget that we’ve still got a few last minute rooms available in December. And make sure you share your Padstow Christmas Festival photos with us on Twitter and Facebook.
