St. George's cocktail

Happy St George’s Day!
St. George was a brave Roman soldier who protested against the Romans’ torture of Christians and died for his beliefs. One of the best-known stories about Saint George is his fight with a dragon. But it is highly unlikely that he ever fought a dragon, and even more unlikely that he ever actually visited England. Despite this, St George is known throughout the world as the dragon-slaying patron saint of England.

In homage to St. George we have created a delicious cocktail using English ingredients (as much as we can) and garnished with St. George’s shield.

50ml Sipsmith Vodka
3 English strawberries
15ml Grenadine
50ml Apple Juice
2 cinnamon sticks
Crushed ice
Icing sugar to garnish

Glass: bubble glass

Muddle two strawberries and one cinnamon stick in cocktail shaker.

Add vodka, grenadine and apple juice and shake over ice.

Fill your glass with crushed ice and strain drink over it.

Garnish with St.George’s strawberry and cinnamon stick.
