Super turnout for RAF military beach fitness #GetFitWGB

A troop of almost 50 people willingly volunteered to be put through their paces this Saturday at RAF St Mawgan’s popular military fitness session on the sand at Watergate Bay. Our own Extreme Academy instructor Josh Coombes, who is training to join the RAF, got stuck in too. Ten hut!

For some, joining an RAF-styled military fitness session sounds like their idea of hell. But others jumped at the chance when exactly that happened at Watergate Bay on Saturday 18 July.

RAF St Mawgan – who are based just up the road – once again offered the expertise of their highly trained Royal Air Force Physical Training Instructors for a free fitness session, with donations welcome to their selected charities.

There was weight lifting, sprints, sit ups and a whole lot more. But it can’t have been all that bad – the team finished with a smile on their faces and even managed to raise their weary arms in the air for a group shot at the end.

Don’t miss it next year!
