Emily Scott Food will be welcoming you at an exclusive pop-up event in the Watchful Mary space. For a taste of her ‘no fuff no faff’ ethos head to the website...

Feasting in Zacry’s

A changing daily menu focusing on seasonality of flavours, Christmas day lunch with all the trimmings and an expansive wine list to match. The food in Zacry’s will match the festive spirit, flavours of chestnut and blood orange, roasted meats and winter vegetables.

The Living Space

Laidback live music will sound out each evening from The Living Space. Sink into the sofas with a view of the Bay as you choose from our new cocktail menu. You can order room service from The Living Space until 6pm every day too, or take a seat for some light bites and lunch.

Christmas activities

Reindeer racing, bodyboarding sessions, a brass band around the bonfire and carols on the sand. Laidback live music in the Living Space, presents from Father Christmas, and a hula-hooping challenge. We have plenty planned to keep you busy, here is a selection of what to expect.

Wreath making

Decorate your hotel room door with a handmade fragrant wreath, help fill our corridors with the smell of Christmas and of course, you can take it with you when you leave. An activity for all taking place in the family games room on the 23 December and on Christmas Eve.

On Christmas Eve and on Boxing Day from 10am until 1pm, join our bodyboarding session or hire any equipment. Places are limited so do book in advance, using the app or contacting the team. The Extreme Academy has all the kit to keep you warm.

Reindeer racing

Bring your antlers to the beach for 11am on Christmas Eve to take part in our reindeer race. All children in supervised sessions on the 23 December will have the chance to make their own hobby reindeer ready for the race. For those young at heart, bring your antlers and your fastest hooves!

Bonfire with a brass quintet

Fill flasks with hot chocolate, wrap up warm and join us round the bonfire on Christmas Eve from 4pm. The brass quintet will be playing Christmas carols, so sing along if you like – with lyrics on the Watergate Bay mobile app and hand-outs provided.

Hula-hooping competition

Hula hooping entries need to be in by the 28 December, watch the video of Lisa Truscott showing you some tricks. Practice at home and then film yourself on the beach, share on Instagram with the tag #watergatebayhulahooping or email the team. We have prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd and hula hoops for you to borrow.

Don't forget...

Gloves for walks on the beach and carols around the fire. Wellies for windy walks and a waterproof coat. Most of all, don't forget your antlers for the reindeer race...

We’ll provide the flasks and hot chocolate, snacks for Santa and the reindeer, and a home away from home. See you soon...
