Zacry’s – our new restaurant

Back to blog

Watergate Bay Hotel has seen quite a bit of change in the last 10 years. From the bedrooms, to The Beach Hut, Swim Club to the Extreme Academy, slowly but surely the new look has come together. Zacry’s was the final piece in the Watergate Bay Hotel jigsaw.

We worked hard all winter to create a brand new restaurant and we think you’ll like the change.

Having added an additional space at the front of the restaurant with floor to ceiling windows, the former Dining Room, and Brassierie before that, now makes the most of its space and can seat 140 people.

After much consideration a name was chosen for the hotel’s new restaurant, Zacry’s, also a square, rocky outcrop at the South end of the beach which can be seen from the restaurant windows.

Long gone are the green carpets and purple curtains, in their place the new interior style blends Cornish attitude with the features of a classic brasserie. Zigzagging through the space are tan leather banquettes and zinc-wrapped refectory tables on oak and tiled chevron floors. Large tables share the space with smaller booths, making a more intimate experience. A private dining room provides almost complete seclusion. While at the other end, a step down from the main dining area, it’s a lighter, brighter space with floor to ceiling windows and access to the decked terrace which hides the previous view of the car park.

Bed and breakfast guests eat breakfast each morning in Zacry’s and Dinner inclusive guests dine in Zacry’s each evening with a three course menu chosen from the menu.

But we don’t need to tell you each little detail, take a look for yourself.

Welcome to Zacry’s.
