Beach Hut event nights

This year we’re handing over our kitchen to local partners, well-travelled authors and writers to create interesting and diverse menus for our event nights.

Expect cooking techniques from faraway shores, modern dishes from passionate chefs and an authentic summer asado on the beach.

Africana Night

Friday 31 March, 7pm

Chef, author and TV presenter Lerato Umah-Shaylor will be hosting an evening of African cuisine. Expect bold and exciting flavours from across the continent and personal stories from family recipes. £40pp

Plantain prawn cakes
with ginger and spring onion

Berber buns
Moreish stuffed buns inspired by the Berber pizza typically cooked in sand pits in the mountains.

Pure sunshine on a plate from Senegal
With caramelised onions, lemons, limes, and Dijon

With hibiscus and orange dressing. A refreshing salad with new-season mangoes and zesty hibiscus and citrus

Sticky apricot "Malva" pudding
A South African triumph with apricot jam, soaked with spiced cream and served with berries & toasted almonds

Good to know

Children: Our event nights are designed for adults and older children. If you are staying in the hotel you have options for booking evening supervision with our Kids' Zone team or private babysitting in your room.

Dogs: Beach Hut event nights are not dog-friendly.

Additional food and drink: The ticket includes a sharing menu. Any additional food and drink is chargeable.

Allergies: Please contact our team if you have any dietary requirements.

Event booking terms: Beach Hut event ticket sales

Watergate Bay Hotel Ltd of On the Beach, Watergate Bay, Cornwall, TR8 4AA is the event organiser.
The name of the event, venue, time, date and number of guests are detailed on your email confirmation/ ticket.
Tickets will be confirmed by email to the email address used during purchase. If you do not receive confirmation within 24 hours please contact our guest services team on tellus@watergatebay.co.uk
The confirmation email is your event ticket.
Please ensure you advise us immediately of any changes to your contact details.
Our guest services team will be in touch prior to the event to check dietary requirements and provide any further details.
The ticket price includes VAT at the appropriate rate.

Cancellation and refunds

Once purchased, tickets cannot be refunded, resold, exchanged or returned.
In the event of cancellation by us, the ticket price will be refunded. Watergate Bay Hotel cannot be held liable for any cost you may incur for travel, accommodation, any other goods or service or any compensation.

Restrictions and security

We reserve the right to refuse admission and refunds will not be given to anyone refused entry.

Admittance

Everyone attending the event must have purchased a ticket.
We can not accept dogs on Beach Hut event nights.

Accessibility

The Beach Hut is fully accessible. For more information please contact us before booking your tickets.
There is a car park close to The Beach Hut. You will not need to pay if attending an event night, please give you registration to the host team on arrival at The Beach Hut.

Personal information collected from ticket holders will be used by us solely in connection with the event and will not be disclosed to any third party.
