Neil Haydock

It’s fair to say that Executive Chef Neil Haydock has always been obsessed with food. Raised in rural Lancashire as the grandson of a game keeper and classically trained, Neil has lived and worked all over the world.

Neil’s experience includes senior roles at a number of highly regarded restaurants, including the Sandy Lane Hotel in Barbados, Terence Conran’s Bluebird in London and most recently, as Executive Chef at Fifteen Cornwall.

Neil has a passion for American cuisine – not your average burger and fries – but real food prepared honestly, has inspired Neil’s latest restaurant. Provenance is also important. Neil works with a trusted bunch of producers and supplies, most Cornish but some specialists in their field sourcing foods from all over the world. His relationship with his suppliers like these means he always knows where the food he serves come from.

All this helps Neil and his chefs to continuously build on Watergate Bay’s reputation as an outstanding food destination, creating diverse, contemporary menus that showcase the very best of Cornwall’s produce while taking inspiration from around the world.
