We have a fantastic opportunity for a goods receiver to join the team at Watergate Bay Hotel.
We are currently looking for a full time team member, on a permanent contract. Reporting to the executive head chef, your prime function will be to receive and verify all deliveries, accepting only goods of the highest quality with no damage to products or packaging. You will be responsible for delivering and decanting products with assistance from relevant departments to the required areas i.e. fridges, store, cellar, stationary cupboard, Beach hut, etc. You will need to have excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. It is important to be a strong team player, with bags of enthusiasm and personality.

What you would be doing on a weekly basis
To receive and ensure that all items are delivered hygienically, in good order and safely at all times.
To ensure that all perishable items are received and dealt with promptly
Ensure strict stock rotation is adhered to
Report and record all discrepancies, shortages, quality issues, short dates, damaged goods, returns, etc.
To ensure that operating equipment is kept clean, sanitised and in good working order
To work cleanly, efficiently and tidily at all times
To decant, cover and date all food products
To clean and sanitise goods receiving area on a regular basis especially before and after delivery of high risk (fresh food) products
Ensure working environment is clean, tidy and sanitised at the end of each shift, reporting to line manager for sign off
