Human resources assistant
We have a fantastic opportunity for a human resources assistant to join the team at Watergate Bay Hotel.
Reporting to the Group HR Manager, your prime function will be to assist the manager to deal with all HR related matters across a workforce of three businesses. Ideally you will need to be CIPD qualified or working towards the qualification with excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Previous HR experience is essential but experience within a hospitality environment is preferred. What you would be doing on a weekly basis:
Working with the HR Manager, update and implement HR strategy and policies.
Assistance with the payroll process, for both monthly and fortnightly payroll files.
Administer and facilitate all recruitment processes.
Produce weekly and monthly HR reports.
Alongside the HR Manager deal with disciplinaries, grievances, return to work interviews and performance management reviews.
Alongside the HR Manager facilitate all staff training, including Watergate Academy and all necessary H&S training, DBS checks, etc.
Help organise a comprehensive calendar of events for all staff.
What you offer:
English & Maths GCSE Grade A-C (or equivalent).
Demonstrable experience of working within an Administrative function.
Demonstrable experience of working in Human Resources previously.
CIPD recognised HR qualification.
Previous work experience within a Hospitality environment would be an advantage.
Health & Safety Qualification would be an advantage.
People person with a sympathetic and understanding nature.
Good prioritisation and organisational skills.
Ability to write clearly and concisely and work in a sometimes busy environment.
