Team sponsors since 2010, Great Western Railway were delighted to reclaim the Watergate Bay Trophy in 2014 after losing out to Joules in 2012 and 2013. So much so that this year they are stepping up to become title sponsors of GWR Polo on the Beach.
Dedicated to supporting the communities they serve, particularly in Cornwall, Great Western Railway will have more presence on the sand this year. Last year it was hard to miss their large scale model railway, complete with Tamar Bridge, where polo spectators were able to race trains around key West Country sights. This year they will have sand sculptures, a coconut shy and other fairground games and a giant colouring wall.
Great Western Railway provides high speed, commuter, regional and branch line train services, carrying more than 97 million passengers every year across the Greater Western rail franchise area, which includes South Wales, the West Country, the Cotswolds, and large parts of Southern England.
