The Great Western Challenge
This year Polo on the Beach will see an new challenge. Fresh from Glastonbury, First Great Western will be bringing their latest gadget to the bay.
They are currently touring the South West with an awesome Scalextric train set which showcases some of the great destinations and amazing attractions on offer across the South West.
Enjoy in the dramatic scenery of the Clifton Suspension Bridge or whizz past the National Assembly for Wales’ Senedd building, as you conscientiously drive a train through undulating landscape and have your time recorded on a score board.
Bring back childhood memories of setting up the Scalextric on the sitting room floor and try your hand at driving a First Great Western-branded train along the track to see if you can set the quickest lap time, but beware it does take a bit of skill, its not all about speed as you try to take a corner before the Tamar bridge. There are plenty of prizes to be won throughout the weekend including an annual FGW rail pass and official Joules match polo shirts.
The Great Western Challenge will also be at this years Bath and West Show and the Devon County Show.
