13 - 15 September

For the very first time, Watergate Bay is going to be home to some of the most impressive Beach Volleyball rallies and matches in British history. You are invited to an epic showdown, bringing the best players in Britain to the bay, to find out who will be the King and Queen of the Bay! Grab a deckchair and join us for the Beach volleyball showdown of 2024!

Expect world-class players, live commentary, and free coached volleyball sessions for all ages and a scramble tournament that anyone can join.

Weekend timetable

With tracks spinning, live commentary, and plenty of centre-court games, we'll be bringing the best beach vibes to Watergate Bay.

Friday: The Weekend warm-up! Learn to play beach volleyball with 'Give-it-a-go' sessions or join our scramble tournament (5-8pm). The scramble tournament is an open format where anyone can join, regardless of level of play or age. Sign up as an individual and get randomly allocated a team to play a match. Then, let us know whether you won or lost that game. This is repeated for a number of matches. The players with a most wins play a final match on centre to determine the scramble tournament winners!

Saturday: Come along and enjoy spectating as world class players battle it out to win the title of King or Queen of the Bay (12-6pm)

Or give it a go in our free mini sessions with top coaches (11-4pm)

Sunday: 10am - 5pm 'Give-it-a-go' sessions.

Beach volleyball event

We're showcasing the best of the British beach volleyball scene with eight of the best male and female players giving it their all to take home a £1000 cash prize.

Spend the day with us with a range of activities on the side, have a go at volleyball yourself with expert coaches on hand delivering mini sessions for all ages and skill levels.

The professional tournament

A battle between four of the best players in the country with female and male divisions. The event will see three volleyball matches, 2v2, with scoring adding to an overall players score. The player with the highest score at the end of the three matches will take home the £1000 cash prize, and the King/Queen of the Bay trophy.

World class players

Kicking off the action for the weekend is the Bello brothers, Javier and Joaquin, one of the most successful partnerships in English beach volleyball, and in the top 50 teams in the world. The twins have won the Bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games, are 3-time British Champions, Joining them is Harry Jones, an experienced England international with lots of silverware across the National and world stage. On the women's team there's Martha Bullen who has represented England in many tournaments, and Alice Zeiman who plays on the New Zealand national team.
