The Beach Hut
The Beach Hut is well known as one of Cornwall’s best beach-side hang-outs. Right on the sand at Watergate Bay, it’s an easy, relaxed restaurant serving seasonal food amongst the hustle of beach life.
Open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch through the winter months, the menu is classic. The views are fantastic. Rarely quiet, The Beach Hut is a vibrant venue where the buzz of conversation rivals the sound of the sea.

Executive Chef Neil Haydock, takes pride in serving great quality, honest food you want to eat, whether between dips in the water or over a long lunch with friends. It’s all about relaxing and socialising with good food outside on the deck in the late evening sun or tucked up inside on a stormy winters day.
Cornish fish will always be on the daily specials board and the menu is focused around steaks, burgers and shellfish with an emphasis on local, seasonal produce. Try the grilled Cornish rib-eye steak, the pulled pork sandwich or perhaps the Sri Lanka mussels with a side of sweet potato fries and chilli sea salt.
We serve Origin coffees and iconic Extreme hot chocolates complete with chocolate discs and marshmallows, throughout the day. Kids have their own menu of dishes that even the fussiest eaters will love and the puddings are just too tempting.
Our new covered deck with glass surround can be open in the sunshine and closed in colder weather, still giving you a fantastic view of the beach. Our tables are available to eat throughout the day and also for hot and cold drinks.
