There’s so much going on at Watergate Bay for families from supervised sessions, a newly refurbished games room complete with Lego station, early supper and babysitting options.
Supervised sessions are included as part of your stay.

Land Rover Discovery Beach School school holiday sessions educate and inspire children and teenagers about the coastal environment through various games and activities.

Packed full of toys, arts and craft areas, and quiet corners for storytelling, our dedicated playroom for younger children is suited to a variety of activities.
Messy play, music, and rhymes, sensory and heuristic play in a calm, stimulating, and supportive environment. Each child’s routine, including feeding and nappy changes, is incorporated within their play session.
The outdoor play area will be available to use until 12pm on Saturdays, and from 5.30pm daily from Sunday to Friday.
Kids (3-8yrs):
Daily sessions: 2 hour sessions, 9.30-11.30am or 1-3pm.
Playtime Pals (3-8yrs)
General crafts, junk modelling and science experiments. Boardgames, outdoor play, imaginative play and storytelling.

Discovery Beach School (6-12yrs)
From firepit cookery and bushcraft to imagination and storytelling, learn the art of whittling, practical conservation behaviour and survival skills.

The games room is free for daily family use. During School holidays, it is available from 8am-1pm, 3.30-5.30pm and from 9.30pm

From firepit cookery and bushcraft to imagination and storytelling, children will build confidence and social skills in Watergate Bay’s coastal environment.
Beach school sessions take place during school holidays. 6-12 years.
The baby monitoring service can be used in all our restaurants, including The Beach Hut.
If requested, you can collect a camera from the front desk team and we give you a tablet for you to use as you move around the hotel. If using the service, you are not permitted to leave the hotel grounds and it is recommended that you check on your children regularly. Responsibility for children remains with the parents at all times.
Currently, the baby monitoring service are not available in the Village family apartment.

All our babysitters are Kids’ Zone staff, with up-to-date DBS checks and Paediatric First Aid. The minimum booking time is two hours. Availability is limited, so please give as much notice as possible.
For same day cancellation, a two hour fee will apply.

The games room
Emphasising quality family time and young people's well-being, our reimagined games room now includes Lego stations, a Giant Connect 4 wall and bright new board games. Arts and crafts sessions, family yoga, storytelling, pizza making and much much more.
The games room is free for you and your family to use, except when supervised sessions are running.
