The Kids' Zone booking terms

Babysitting

  • Babysitting is available for children up to 12 years of age in your room or apartment for up to a maximum of three children.
  • Babysitting is subject to a minimum charge of £30 for up to two hours, and £15 for each additional hour.
  • A booking request can be made through the app.
  • All bookings are considered a request until returned to the guest as confirmed.
  • If you need to cancel your booking, please contact us as soon as possible in writing using the email address you provided when you made your booking.
  • For same day cancellations the minimum charge of £30 will apply.
  • If you subsequently shorten the confirmed reservation, we will not offer a refund.
  • If we are required to cancel or cut short your reservation, any charges will be adjusted accordingly.
  • Please complete our booking form ahead of your stay detailing any allergies/medical conditions.
  • We are unable to provide a babysitting service for any child who has experienced vomiting or diarrhoea within 48 hours of the reservation. Other conditions may apply when dealing with infectious diseases.
  • We are unable to provide a babysitting service when there is a dog in the room with the child unless a travel cage is provided, or you are staying in an interconnecting room or family suite.
  • All babysitters have a current first aid certificate and a DBS, however they can only administer lifesaving medication such as adrenaline pens and inhalers with the appropriate documentation.
  • The babysitter will follow your child’s bedtime routine; however, they are unable to bathe them.
  • If you are leaving the hotel premises, contact details of your location must be provided in case of an emergency.

 Supervised sessions

  • The Kids’ Zone is a space that provides supervised sessions for children aged 6 months to 12 years.
  • All sessions booked in the Kids’ Zone are subject to availability.
  • Sessions can be booked on the Watergate Bay App a month in advance.
  • Your session slot will be released if you do not arrive withing 15 minutes of the session start time. You can make the Kids' Zone team aware if you are planning to be late.
  • Up to two bookings can be made per day. Any additional bookings will be automatically cancelled.
  • Please complete our booking form ahead of your stay detailing any allergies/medical conditions. If your child requires any adaptation to a session for medical reasons, please inform us as soon as possible.
  • If you need to cancel your booking, please contact us as soon as possible in writing using the email address you provided when you made your booking. 
  • Please arrive and collect promptly at your allocated time, if you do not arrive within 15 minutes of your booking time, the booking will be cancelled and a no show fee of £20 will be applied to your room.
  • Face coverings must be worn when interacting with the Kids’ Zone team.
  • Handwashing and sanitising is mandatory when arriving and leaving the Kids’ Zone.
  • Any child who has experienced vomiting or diarrhoea within 48 hours of the session will be unable to attend a session. Other conditions may apply when dealing with infectious diseases.
  • We can only administer lifesaving medication such as adrenaline pens and inhalers with the appropriate documentation.
  • On occasion, sessions may take place on the beach, tide and weather permitting.
  • Children must bring their own snacks, drinks, and nappies as well as a change of clothes.
  • Parents / Guardians must remain in the Bay and be contactable at all times.

Summer beach experience

  • Beach Experiences are provided by our Beach School Leader for a maximum of six children per session.
  • One booking can be made per stay. Any additional bookings will be automatically cancelled.
  • Please arrive and collect promptly at your allocated time, if you do not arrive within 10 minutes of your booking time, the booking will be cancelled.
  • If you need to cancel your booking, please contact us as soon as possible using the email address you provided when you made your reservation.
  • Should we need to cancel the session, an alternative activity will take place in the events space.
  • Adults must wear face coverings when interacting with the Kids’ team.
  • Any child who has experienced vomiting or diarrhoea within 48 hours of the session will be unable to attend a session. Other conditions may apply when dealing with infectious diseases
  • We can only administer lifesaving medication such as adrenaline pens and inhalers with the appropriate documentation.
  • Parents / Guardians must remain in the Bay and be contactable at all times.
