Chocolate mousse

Everyone loves chocolate mousse, and now you can make your own at home! Follow this recipe from The Living Space at Watergate Bay Hotel and enjoy!



Serves 8

500g dark chocolate 70%+
100g unsalted butter
13 egg whites
12 egg yolks
350g caster sugar


Melt the chocolate in a bowl over simmering water.

In a seperate dish, melt the butter.

Whisk the egg whites until they form soft peaks, we suggest using an electric whisk.

Rain the caster sugar slowly over the egg white and combine.

Fold together the chocolate and egg whites.

Then add the egg yolks and melted butter and combine.

Set in the fridge for a few hours or overnight.

Serve with grated dark chocolate on top.
