Our sustainability promise

Soak up the après-surf atmosphere

Laid-back, breezy and modern, the relaunched Beach Hut blends considered food, carefree beach dining, and a warm welcome – all supported by a sustainable purpose.

Staying true to its roots while embracing the new, the reimagined restaurant showcases local, seasonal produce – combining classic favourites with a 50% plant-based menu for a healthier take on the post-surf refuel. And because beach living is about freedom, there’s a new self-order and pay at table app to keep things easy all round..

Self-order & pay at table

Our new self-order and pay at table service has been introduced to ensure we could reopen while having a reduced team. It also shows our commitment to becoming a paperless and cashless business. Beach living is about freedom and the smartphone web app keeps things easy all round.

A new menu

Soak up the après-surf atmosphere. Drink in the views. Taste flavours both familiar and fresh. Expect classic favourites – from The Beach Hut’s famous Extreme Hot Chocolate to mussels cooked in white wine and West Country cream, or local beef burgers topped with Cornish gouda – alongside a healthier take on the post surf fuel, satisfying salads, tapas, nachos and plates from the grill.

Our menu is all about our grills, salads and classic dishes. We don’t serve starters but we do have artisan bread, olives and nuts to go with your drinks while you wait for the rest of your order.

A new purpose

The vision for The Beach Hut is to create a positive impression on people and the planet, reduce our carbon footprint and our impact on the environment. Locality, seasonality, and provenance drive the new menu. We want to educate our team and our guests on all the great seasonal produce available on our doorstep.

Food for thought

Vegetables and biodynamic farm fruits are hyperlocal and hyper tasty, the local catch each morning dictates what fish to have with your chips, and peel and eat prawns are MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) certified only.

To tackle food waste, we’ve split dishes into main and sides so people only order what they want to eat – no more throwing away unwanted chips, bread or side salads we hope..
